چکیده

Interventional cardiology procedures (ICP) are considered some of the main medical in which patients exposed to high doses radiation. The aim this study was examine how control level radiation exposure and analyse factors affecting increase from specified using a regression method. results model correctly predicted that 80.0%, 90.5%, 95.2% cases, there were routine dose area product (DAP) levels, 64.3%, 33.3%, 77.8% levels DAP, giving an overall percentage, correct prediction rate 72.45%, 73.35%, 90.0%, for coronary angiography (CA), percutaneous intervention (PCI), combined CA with PCI (CA/PCI), respectively. All studied research, namely Kv, mA, Fluoroscopy Time (FT) Body Mass Index (BMI), have significant relationship DAP level. We concluded analysis is reliable method evaluating user protocol center or hospital identifying variables effect on interventional cardiology.

Patient Radiation Doses in Interventional Cardiology Procedures

Interventional cardiology procedures result in substantial patient radiation doses due to prolonged fluoroscopy time and radiographic exposure. The procedures that are most frequently performed are coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions, diagnostic electrophysiology studies and radiofrequency catheter ablation. Patient radiation dose in these procedures can be assessed either...

Radiation-Induced Noncancer Risks in Interventional Cardiology: Optimisation of Procedures and Staff and Patient Dose Reduction

Concerns about ionizing radiation during interventional cardiology have been increased in recent years as a result of rapid growth in interventional procedure volumes and the high radiation doses associated with some procedures. Noncancer radiation risks to cardiologists and medical staff in terms of radiation-induced cataracts and skin injuries for patients appear clear potential consequences ...

Patient radiation doses in paediatric interventional cardiology procedures: a review.

A large number of investigations into the radiation doses from x-ray guided interventional cardiology procedures in children have been carried out in recent years. A review was conducted of these studies, gathering data on kerma area product (P KA), fluoroscopic screening time (FT), air kerma, and estimates of effective dose and organ doses. The majority of studies focus on P KA and FT with no ...

Assessment of Patient Radiation Dose in Interventional Procedures at Shahid Madani Heart Center in Khorramabad, Iran

Introduction: Coronary angiography is the most common angiographic procedure for diagnosis and treatment of the heart diseases. Herein, we aimed to evaluate the entrance surface dose (ESD), dose area product (DAP), as well as cancer risk in interventional cardiology procedures. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted during July-December 2015 at Shahid Madani Heart Center in Khorramabad...

Radiation dose and image quality for paediatric interventional cardiology.

Radiation dose and image quality for paediatric protocols in a biplane x-ray system used for interventional cardiology have been evaluated. Entrance surface air kerma (ESAK) and image quality using a test object and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) phantoms have been measured for the typical paediatric patient thicknesses (4-20 cm of PMMA). Images from fluoroscopy (low, medium and high) and cine ...
